IssueCodex connects a coding-agent session to a GitHub issue and its working branch. The command-line workflow sets up the branch, starts work, records structured checkpoints, and resumes from an earlier checkpoint.
GitHub holds the issue history and checkpoints. IssueCodex supplies workflow rules, while the coding agent performs the implementation work.
The project also has a local backend and browser interface for a command conversation, an issue graph and queue, and terminal output. The command-line workflow is the initial usable slice; the broader interface remains a prototype.
The intent is to make ongoing work easier to resume and inspect, with its context attached to the issue.
