Compilit is a compiler project developed through several course milestones. It parses a small language, checks types, and translates the program into an intermediate representation.
Later work adds static single assignment form, local value numbering, constant folding, and transformations for yielding methods. Different optimization modes make it possible to compare the resulting representation.
The project is an implementation exercise in how those stages fit together. Its language and runtime follow the course's constraints, including restrictions on yielding methods and specific rules for values and types.
